Why is my Maven not producing steam?

• The Maven 140IS has a filter to help prolong the life of your iron station. Before first use, please follow the instructions to soak your filter included in your manual or your quick start guide.

My Maven 140IS is making a chugging noise

• The Maven 140IS utilizes pump technology to deliver endless steam. The pump can make a small noise when in operation.  If the unit runs out of water or the filter is not soaked properly the chugging noise will increase.

How many temperature settings does the Maven 140IS have?

• The Maven 140IS has 4 temperature settings.
  1. Eco Mode – This is a mode safe for all fabrics
  2. Dot 1 – Lowest setting, No Steam
  3. Dot 2 – Medium/Low Setting, Low Steam
  4. Dot 3 – Medium Heat, Medium Steam
  5. Dot 4 – Max Heat and Steam

IMPORTANT:  Before starting to iron, read the garment labels and follow the manufacturer’s ironing instructions.

Does the Maven 140IS have an auto-off?

• The Maven 140IS Iron Station is equipped with a 10-minute auto-off. To reengage the iron you can move the iron or press any button.  With fast heat-up technology, the Maven is ready in under 30 seconds.

Do I need to use distilled water?

• If you have really hard water, we suggest emptying the 1.5L water tank after use. This will ensure no settled water clogs the unit.  For best results, always use clean fresh water.  The use of distilled water is not required, but it will prolong the life of your iron. 

How long does it take to heat up?

• The Maven Iron Station has fast heat-up technology and is ready in under 30 seconds!

How long is the power cord on the 140IS?

• The Maven 140IS power cord is 8 feet long.

How long is the Steam cord on the 140IS?

• The Maven 140IS is equipped with a 60 inch Steam hose.

Can I use a power cord or extension cord with the Maven 140IS?

• It is not recommended to use with an extension cord or power bar/surge protector. If an extension cord/surge protector is absolutely necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the iron must be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating and will void your warranty. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

How long can I use my Maven 140IS iron?

• The Maven is a domestic iron and should not be used in commercial settings. We recommend only using your iron 4 to 6 hours a week to maximize the life of the iron station.  Using for longer periods of time will shorten the life of your iron station.

My Maven 140IS is brand new, why is there water in the tank?  Is it used?

• All Reliable irons are 100% tested during production. While we do our best to remove all the water from the tank it is possible some residual water may remain inside the main unit and show in the tank.  We only sell 100% new products unless otherwise advertised.
