What does direct drive mean and what are the benefits?

• Direct drive technology eliminates the need for an under-table motor and instead, mounts a highly efficient motor directly to the shaft of the machine. This allows for more torque (power), smoother and quieter operation and the eliminates the belt which traditionally connects the motor to the sewing head.

What are the advantages of having an automatic thread trimmer and how do I know if it’s worth the extra cost?

• Having an automatic thread trimmer on your sewing machine is the ultimate time saving device for production work. It’s particularly helpful when doing a lot of short stitch runs, as well as corner stitching.
