How hot is the steam being emitted from my Reliable Steamer?

• The steam temperature at the head on our VIVO steamers is 208° F / 98° C with the PVC Plastic Head. 212ºF/100ºC with the Metal Head.

Can my Vivio Garment Steamer sanitize fabrics such as clothing, bedding and upholstered furniture?

• Steam is a tried-and-true sanitizer. Unlike some abrasive cleaners, steam is both penetrating and gentle at the same time. It effectively sanitizes because it can reach high temperatures over 200F.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, viruses are killed by heat above 167° F / 75° C. Steam is known to eliminate viruses and has long been an alternative to cleaning textiles with detergent and water

What is the difference between the PVC Plastic Head and a Metal Head?

• The PVC head is very durable and allows for a detachable fabric brush. Use the removable fabric brush for delicate and napped fabrics.  The VIVIO metal cast aluminum steam head is perfect to help press out stubborn wrinkles.  The high heat of the metal steam head acts as an iron for a quick press.

How do I use garment steamer?

• Garment teamers work by heating water until it becomes steam and then channeling that steam toward a wrinkled fabric to relax its fibers and eliminate wrinkles. To use a steamer, fill its water tank with cool water, check to make sure all parts of the machine are connected and in place, plug the machine in and simply wait for it to heat. Once it’s hot, you’re all set to get steaming. Gently pass the steam head over the fabric in slow controlled movements and wrinkles will begin to vanish.   Take your time and watch the magic happen.

My Vivio is has stopped steaming or is not giving off enough steam? 

• If you've had the unit for a while and have been using tap water, the unit may be clogged inside. Please refer to your instruction manual on how to clean your unit.

My wrench is missing from my Vivio 500GC/550GC?

• Check underneath your unit. The wrench is located on the bottom for convenient storage.
