Why am I getting excess water when I'm ironing?

Solution 1: if the temp is set too low on the iron you will get excess water
Solution2: thermal safety inside iron has kicked out this could be from a thermostat problem in the iron.

Why is my material shiny after pressing

We recommend using a teflon shoe when ironing.

What to do when iron is leaking at hose connection?

Step 1: remove the existing hose clamp and hose from the iron connection.
Step 2: cut a small portion of hose off where it is brittle.
Step 3: get a 3/8th (#4) gear type hose clamp.
Step 4: put the clamp on the hose.
Step 5: push the hose clamp back onto the hose connection on the elbow.
Step 6: tighten the hose onto the connection on the hose clamp.
