What is the SewQuiet 6000SM and what is it primarily used for?

• The SewQuiet 6000SM represents the fourth generation of Reliable’s energy saving servo motor innovation. The servo motor as compared to the old clutch motor is a much lighter alternative. It offers the sewers the control they need to do step-by-step stitching precisely. The SewQuiet 6000SM also has the ability to plug in a grounded light directly to the rear of the motor and has UL/CSA certified electrical components. 

What is the difference between a clutch motor and a servo motor?

• The Reliable SewQuiet Servo Motor is a brushless DC motor that runs only when the foot pedal is pressed. It is quieter than a continuously running clutch motor, which is less energy efficient. The total silence of the Reliable Sew Quiet Servo Motor makes it an excellent upgrade for sewing machines vs clutch motors.

What is the minimum and maximum RPM of the servomotor?

• The shaft speed ranges from 500 RPM to 7000 RPM.

What is the wattage of the motor?

• The motor is 550 watts and consumes 4.5 amps power.

What size pulley does the 6000SM come with?

• The motor comes with a 60mm pulley with a speed adjustment of 500 RPM to 7000 RPM shaft speed.

I’m a beginner sewer who wants more control on the speed. Will the SewQuiet 6000SM work for me?

• The 6000SM motor accommodates a novice to a professional sewer, allowing the operator to adjust the motor according to their machine and application.

My current sewing machine struggles a lot since I usually sew thicker fabric. How will the SewQuiet 6000SM make a difference?

• We have designed the SewQuiet 6000SM keeping in mind that most sewers use various types of fabric. The 6000SM is the only servomotor to incorporate a 12-coil (vs. 6 or 9) design. This provides the kind of torque that’s needed to work with the toughest materials with ease. There are program settings in the motor that can be adjusted to suit your requirement which would help you to perform heavy/thick work. The motor also has programs to help with the ease of sewing heavy to dense materials.

How difficult is the installation of the motor? How can I install it?

• The 6000SM is a replacement made for your old clutch motor and can be attached the exact same way with the hardware provided.

The clutch motor on my sewing machine is very loud but I don’t want to a buy a new sewing machine. Will the SewQuiet 6000SM be compatible with my machine?

• The SewQuiet 6000SM is designed to work with most types of sewing machines and can replace any machine that has an old clutch motor. And as the name suggests, our SewQuiet 6000SM is very quiet. I have already purchased the SewQuiet 6000SM. Do I also need to buy the Synchronizer?

• We highly recommend buying the Synchronizer. It will allow you to stop the needle in various set positions. Please note the synchronizer does not fit on all sewing machines.  Please make sure it will fit on yours before ordering.
